Hello Campers!

RV'ing is not only filled with adventure, relaxation and tons of fun, but did you know that it's also good for your health?

Studies show that RV'ing brings tons of positive perks to your body, immune system, mental health, etc.

Here's How:

Happiness

Being outdoors tends to elevate your mood due to breathing in fresh air, being in the sunlight and relaxing in nature.

Exercise

RV'ing is naturally an outdoor lifestyle that promotes outdoor activity. Whether you are hiking, setting up camp, playing outdoor games, gathering firewood, etc. You are doing physical activity that is beneficial to your health. Almost all the outdoor activities that come with RV'ing are fun so you don't even realize that you are getting a work out in!

Sleep

Florescent lighting that is found at home can actually alter your body's melatonin levels, which help to control wake and sleep cycles, when you sleep away from artificial light, you give your body time to reset your natural sleep patterns which will result in waking up less groggy and feeling more energized.

Stress Relief

Studies have shown that just being in nature alone can help reduce stress significantly, if you are taking time away from your day to day routine and spending time enjoying the outdoors, your body and mind will have time to re-charge and renew yourself. In one study cited in the book, (Healing Gardens), researchers found that more than two-thirds of people choose a natural setting to go to when stressed.

Eating

When RV'ing it is highly recommended to plan your meals ahead of time and to bring what you will need. Doing this will not only save you time and hassle but you can plan meals that will result in healthier eating! There is no fast food out in the wilderness so you typically don't have that option, after all your kitchen is always with you in your rig!

Say Goodbye to Technology

RV'ing is the perfect way to "unplug" from the digital world, and find yourself connected in nature. Put your phone and laptop down and enjoy the outdoor activities that nature has to offer. Spend time doing your favorite outdoor activity such as fishing, kayaking, hiking, bird watching, campfire cooking, etc.

Positive Body Effects

Studies show that being in a pleasant environment such as the outdoors can help decrease muscle tension, high blood pressure, elevated heart rate, etc.

As you can tell, RV'ing has so many benefits to your body, mind and spirit.

Have you noticed changes to your health since you started RV'ing?
